Francis Russell

Used by: Senior Men
Purchased after the loss of its predecessor due to flooding caused by Storm Desmond in December 2015. Named in honour of the 1986/87 club captain Francis Russell who died in a boating accident on the river Lune.
Vixen

Used by: Senior Women
Originally bought by Agecroft RC when it was 6 weeks old from the USA Women’s U23 team after it set the world record in Paris. It has come 4th and 6th in WEHoRR (Women’s Eights Head of the River Race).
HRH Princess Alexandria

Used by: Novice Women, Senior Squads
Purchased from Nottingham Trent University in the Summer of 2010, this boat is used primarily by our novice women and occasionally by the senior men’s and women’s second 8’s.

Purchased from the Norwich School Boat Club, this 2018 Hudson USP is used by our top Senior Men’s 4. It was originally used by the GBR squad at the U23 World Championships in 2019, winning the M4+ event. Since it’s purchase, it has won the prized Grand Challenge Cup at Durham Regatta in 2022, and qualified into the A-final of Men’s Int 4+ at BUCS Regatta 2023.

Named after our current Vice President and novice coach Ken Baird at the 2017 Alumni Ball, this boat is now used by the second senior 4s and top novice women’s 4.
Two Eight Four
Year of Purchase: 2015
Type: Stampfli 4+
Used by: Senior Men, Novice Men
Named at the 2015 Alumni Ball by Tim Cape, Patrick Sinnott and Bernard Thain. This is in reference to their crew that attended Tideway Head in 1967 in an ancient borrowed “clinker” eight, starting in 284th place and placing 84th overall, an incredibly impressive feat.
Sir Harold Parkinson

Bought new from Ray Sims in 2006. Named after Sir Harold Parkinson, a generous and wealthy benefactor who purchased and renovated the old Halton Railway Station which is used as our boathouse to this day, in addition to purchasing our first boats, launch and the slipway.

This pair was kindly donated in 2018 to assist in training the eventually qualifying Prince Albert Challenge Cup 4+, and is named after our former head coach Tim Morris, who coached said 4+ to Henley Royal Regatta Qualification.

This pair was purchased from Agecroft to facilitate more small boat rowing outside of the top senior crews, and is used to teach novices to scull and steer at the end of their novice year. It is named after a dedicated former equipment officer who built the moving rack our small boats fleet is stored on today.
