Novice Squads
Our novice system has been the start of hundreds, if not thousands, of long term rowing careers, including the majority of our own senior squads. Friendships are formed; lessons are learnt; memories are made.
Novice Squads 23/24
“As a novice men’s captain for our rowing squad, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride and joy in leading this incredible group of athletes. The pleasure of captaining our squad comes from witnessing the growth and camaraderie that has flourished among us. Despite being new to this role, I’ve seen how each member has embraced the challenges, pushed their limits, and supported one another every stroke of the way. Together, we’ve overcome obstacles, celebrated victories, and formed bonds that extend beyond the water. Seeing the dedication and determination of my teammates, I’m filled with confidence in our collective ability. We’ve worked tirelessly, and it’s incredibly rewarding to reflect on how far we’ve come. As captain, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together, and I’m excited for the successes that lie ahead.”
